STREAM is a next generation interactive app. With STREAM it is now so easy to select personalised, on-demand satellite pixel data operationally, where and when you need. View the broader scale map, zoom in to select the detailed location and days of interest, and get the data on a spreadsheet completely free of charge. By combining satellite observations with numerical simulations, data are offered Before, Now and Next, providing access to historical/climatological data (30 years), updated real-time observations, and predictions all in one place. Users can choose, save and revisit their selections, for updated information and with mobile notifications on alerts at user-selected thresholds and locations.
STREAM is the perfect tool to monitor change, provide the data that users need for assessments, and to make informed decisions. STREAM enhances the level of access and application of space data with local users, including the citizen level, to facilitate its integration into daily endeavours by operators and responsible entities, for decision-making, higher efficiency, and performance at reduced risks, delivering tailor-made and added-value services needed at different scales, disciplines, and levels of society.
This service is currently available for sea surface temperature and for sea surface chlorophyll concentration. The STREAM digital platform is ready to hold more data categories with future additions.
STREAM makies satellite data within easy reach to all user categories, including the citizen level. No special skills or data access permissions. With its versatility and appeal, STREAM seamlessly connects users to data by a select, click and go facility. No need to download chunks of unnecessary data. STREAM gets you only the data at the location and for the time you need, fast, free and easy by a simple personalised request. This meets the targets to popularise satellite data for use and re-use to the benefit of society. STREAM relies mainly on CMEMS data and is targeted to valorise further the use of the CMEMS data services. More than raw data, STREAM further provides model and enhanced data layers in the form of indices, climatologies, forecasts and alerts.
