CYCOFOS

The Cyprus Coastal Ocean Forecasting and Observing System (CYCOFOS) is a sub-regional forecasting and observing system in the Eastern Mediterranean Levantine Basin, which covers the coastal and open sea areas of Cyprus, Cilician and Latta. 

CYCOFOS provides the ocean and SKIRON met forcing to the MEDSLIK oil spill model for supporting the regional response agencies during major oil pollution crisis in the frame of the MONGOOS-REMPEC agreement.
